Food is served daily in the bar or restaurant. Service times are from 12:00 - 14:30 Monday - Sunday and 18:00 - 21:30 Monday - Saturday.

Sunday lunch is a traditional carvery with a choice of 5 different roasts served with all the trimmings, including homemade Yorkshire Puddings and fresh vegetables.

Area information

Melton Mowbray is a bustling market town and the area is famed for its local delicacies. Stilton "The King of Cheeses" and pork pies are both made here.

Melton market is one of the busiest markets in England, and is the only Leicestershire market recorded by the Domesday Survey of 1086. Large street markets are held in the market place on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with small craft markets each Wednesday.

The Cattle Market moved to its present Scalford Road site in 1870. Visitors are welcome to visit free of charge on a Tuesday, the market runs from 8.00am - 3.30pm throughout the year.

St Mary's Church dates back from 1170 and is said to be the stateliest and most impressive of all Leicestershire churches. Cathedral-sized, it has a 100-foot tower and impressive stained glass windows. Sir Malcolm Sargent began his career here as organist and choirmaster.
